2012 World’s Championship Shrimp Cook-Off date set for November 4th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.!

The Port Isabel Chamber of Commerce hosts the World’s Championship Shrimp Cook-Off the first Sunday in November annually. Over a ton of fresh Gulf shrimp is expertly prepared by over two dozen professional and amateur chefs who compete for top honors. Live entertainment is provided by The Agency specializing in authentic versions of rock, soul, and motown classic hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s. A crowd favorite, The Agency has become a Shrimp Cook-Off tradition! Vendors offering a wide variety of crafts, collectibles or that elusive object d’arte add to the day’s experience. Games and rides are available for children of all ages.
